Skygard has a specialist division that has been providing preventative pandemic outbreak response services to the aviation sector in Australia for over 5 years. Our teams have been disinfecting aviation assets and aircraft for The Qantas Group, Virgin Australia, RAAF, Royal Australian Navy and Business Jets for many years. We are highly experienced in managing the spread of outbreaks such as we are seeing with the COVID 19. We are a CASA Part 145 approved company and hold both ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications for our head office in Brisbane.
Our Products
Following extensive research, testing and development, 145 Aviation Services sourced a 5 th Generation SiQuat technology which meet the complete mandate of reducing transmission on a persistent basis.
5 th Generation SiQuat technology delivers high performance, broad spectrum anti-bacterial, viral, fungal, mould and odour protection on surfaces to which they are either applied or infused.
They are widely recognised as one of the worlds most advanced non-volatile, surface bonded antimicrobials, safe for people, plants, pets, and the environment.
A333 Antimicrobial Shield has been tested and approved to aerospace standards and our formula carries the only TGA certification with 28 day efficacy against COVID 19.
How does it work?
Once applied, the Antimicrobial Shield forms an invisible barrier on all the surfaces hard or soft, immediately sanitising and eliminating harmful microbes and bacteria present and continues to provide residual protection for a minimum of 28 days. A layer of microscopic pins coats the surface and kills the pathogens by piercing and rupturing their cell walls. Antimicrobial Shield therefore kills germs by ‘mechanical’ means and is non-toxic. All currently known superbugs are defenceless against our cell wall rupture technology.
The antimicrobial barrier is like a microscopic grass lawn with countless blades of grass that rupture or pop the bubble-like cell wall of the microbes, destroying them on contact.
Our Experience
145 Aviation Services, was contracted by the Department of Defence at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, to treat the entire fleet of Naval vessels nation wide with our A333 Antimicrobial Shield coating.
Within a four-week period, we completed treatments of more than 50 Royal Australian Navy warships and support vessels located in all major Australian ports.
145 Aviation continues to provide these services to the Royal Australian Navy and are actively supporting in diversification of these services to include fixed premises and other defence agency assets.
Aviation
145 Aviation Services have developed a range of aircraft-based hygiene solutions protecting millions of passengers and crew around the world using our aviation approved antimicrobial coatings. Our products are designed to provide a completely hygienic environment for travellers and crew aboard the sealed space within an aircraft.
Our holistic approach using surface sanitisers, antibacterial wipes and complete interior sanitation through fogging, has now been adopted by some of the world’s leading airlines.
Our products are Boeing and Airbus approved and are designed to actively disinfect aircraft surfaces for up to 28 days.
